*Sigh* These two. Can you tell that I really, really love to photograph them? I think they appear in my own Instagram feed more than I do. I’ve said it before, but their love really is unlike anything I’ve ever seen…well, that’s not in a movie, that is. And now for them to bring their first little one into the world just makes my heart burst with happiness for them.
I can tell you that ever since they were married (over six years ago) they have been bombarded with “so when the heck are y’all gonna start havin’ some kids?!” hundreds of times. And I am willing to admit that I can account for AT LEAST 75% of the times that question was asked of them. And now their sweet girl is set to arrive any day.
They’ll get to meet her for the first time at home by having a midwife-assisted home birth…birthing tub and all. And they’re not messing around…they’ve been preparing for this for months and months with Bradley Method classes, and getting trained in Hypnobabies meditation!! But you know what? I expect nothing less from these two–heck, Adrianne is a personal trainer, wellness educator, competitive bodybuilder, and a literal beast at everything she does!
Well, let’s talk about this princess’ name for a minute. Kara Leah Knuckles. Naturally, the very first thing I asked was “So are we gonna be callin’ her KK?” (You know I get to handin’ out nicknames). But I did ask Adrianne where her name originated and this is what she says…
“We struggled with finding a girl name that we actually like, and we thought she’d never get a name. Eventually we began researching Italian names, and after finding the name Karaleah we FELL.IN.LOVE. At last our baby had a name! The problem, I found it to be a mouthful. Heartbroken, and back to square one, we started our search again, but I couldn’t let the name go. Michael suggested we split it in half giving her a first name and a middle name, and HOORAY he’d saved the day.”
Well I, for one, think it’s perfect, and I cannot wait for you to get to meet her. Congratulations again guys, and I know she’ll be spoiled in no time.
